Cancellation Policy for individual reservations:
Because of our small size and a short season, cancellations affect us significantly. A guaranteed reservation constitutes a contract whereby we agree to forego all other reservations; the guest in turn, agrees to assume financial responsibility for those rooms being reserved for them. The closer to the arrival date a cancellation occurs the less likelihood of re-renting the room. For these reasons the Lodge adheres to a strict cancellation policy.
Once the cabin is secured with a credit card there is a cancellation fee for each room cancelled. If the cancellation occurs within 14 days of the arrival date, the fee is one night's room rate plus tax for each canceled room. If the cancellation occurs more than 14 days before the date of arrival the fee is $25.00 for each canceled room.
Reservations for 7 Nights or Longer:
Our cabins are normally booked several months in advance by repeat guests. Therefore, we require two night's deposit upon booking a reservation for 7 or more nights. The cancellation fee is $50 if cancelled prior to 30 days before arrival. If the cancellation occurs within 30 days of the arrival date, you will forfeit your two night's deposit.
We accept traveler's checks and major credit cards including Master Charge, Visa, and Discover.
We do not accept personal checks unless the check has been mailed at least 30 days in advance of the date of arrival.
We will accept cash payment, however an automatic $75.00 cash deposit or a valid credit card number is required to insure against damages, cleaning chares, or violations of smoking or pet policies. The cash deposit will be refunded following check-out if no violations or damages have occurred and the cabin is left in a reasonable condition.
If guests smoke in any cabin during the summer months, or in a designated non-smoking unit in the winter, an automatic cleaning fee will be charged to their credit card or guests who paid cash for their room will forfeit a portion or all of the $75.00 cash deposit.
Several units have been designated as pet-friendly, please specify when making the reservation. An automatic cleaning fee will be charged to credit cards or guest who paid cash for their room will forfeit the $75.00 deposit if damages occur in a pet friendly unit, the cabin requires additonal cleaning beyond normal housekeeping services, or pets are present in a unit that has not been designated as pet-friendly.
Following arrival, if the reservation is for multiple days and one or more days of the original reservation are cancelled, the cancellation fee is one night's room rate plus tax for each room canceled. NO REFUNDS FOR EARLY DEPARTURE.
If the reservation is made within one week of the date of arrival, we require payment for the first night. Since there is no cancellation period remaining and the reservation is canceled or the guest does not show up, the deposit is forfeited.
Billing, Cancellation, and Refund Disputes:
All billing and cancellation disputes will be reviewed by the proprietors and accounting department and the guest will be contacted within 30 days.
